About YOHOLIFE® LAB
Who We Are
YOHOLIFE® LAB is the research and technology nucleus of YOHOLIFE®, dedicated to building next-generation biotechnological platforms for sustainable bioactive production.
We focus on transforming constrained natural resources into controllable, reproducible, and scalable manufacturing systems, using advanced biological and engineering approaches. Our work bridges fundamental research and industrial execution, enabling natural value to be preserved, stabilised, and scaled without ecological depletion.
Rather than operating as a single-purpose laboratory, YOHOLIFE® LAB is designed as a long-term research platform — one that continuously generates proprietary technologies, validated processes, and application-ready systems for global life-science industries.
Our Philosophy
Nature holds immense functional intelligence, but traditional extraction-based models are increasingly limited by resource scarcity, quality instability, and lack of scalability.
At YOHOLIFE® LAB, we believe the future of natural ingredients should not rely on increased harvesting, but on engineering systems that allow nature’s functions to be reproduced with precision and responsibility.
Our approach is guided by three principles:
Technology-defined, not resource-dependent
Reproducibility over variability
Long-term system building over short-term output
This philosophy shapes every layer of our research architecture and development strategy.
Platform-Based Research Architecture
YOHOLIFE® LAB operates a platform-based R&D architecture, in which specialised laboratories function as independent yet interconnected research units, each aligned to a critical layer of the bioactive value chain.
Our core platforms include:
GENORA® Plant Biotechnology Platform – focused on clonal propagation, chemotype stabilisation, and controlled biomass systems
EXTRAX® Phytochemical Process Platform – dedicated to extraction pathway design, low-temperature processing, and structural preservation of bioactives
MATERA® Biomimetic Materials Platform – developing bio-inspired proteins and functional materials through controlled synthesis and performance validation
PURELIX® Synthetic Biology Platform – building biosynthetic pathways, enzyme systems, and microbial production chassis for scalable biomanufacturing
All platforms operate under a unified development framework, allowing multiple research programs to progress in parallel while maintaining consistency in quality control, scalability, and regulatory readiness.
OUR CORE
R&D PLATFORMS
GENORA® focuses on plant biotechnology systems that stabilise and preserve natural bioactive potential at the biological source level. The platform develops clonal propagation, chemotype stabilisation, and controlled biomass production systems, enabling consistent and traceable plant-derived inputs independent of wild harvesting. GENORA® forms the biological foundation for sustainable and standardised natural ingredient development.
EXTRAX® is dedicated to advanced phytochemical process engineering, with a focus on extraction pathway design, low-temperature processing, and structural preservation of bioactive compounds. The platform addresses the limitations of conventional extraction by improving yield stability, molecular integrity, and batch-to-batch consistency, while maintaining industrial scalability and regulatory compatibility.
MATERA® develops bio-inspired proteins and functional materials through controlled synthesis, functional optimisation, and performance validation. The platform translates biological adhesion, protection, and structural principles into reproducible material systems, bridging biological inspiration with engineering precision for applications across healthcare, materials science, and applied biotechnology.
PURELIX® is YOHOLIFE® LAB’s synthetic biology platform, focused on biosynthetic pathway construction, enzyme screening, and microbial production system optimisation. By reconstructing and engineering natural biosynthetic routes, PURELIX® enables scalable, high-purity, and fully controllable production of complex bioactives, forming the core engine for next-generation bio-based manufacturing.
